Woody the poodle was heartlessly abandoned after his owner died, by the owner’s family.

Woody was more loyal than the family, he didn’t want to leave his home, and instead waited at the house hoping his deceased companion would return home… Woody waited for over a year.

The heart wrenching rescue of Woody the poodle was captured on video, and it will have you breaking out the tissues.

Woody was able to survive thanks to neighbors who left him food and water near the shed he lived under; he was hungry, his hair was matted, he was blind in one eye and emotionally drained refusing to eat.

Thanks to Hope for Paws and Eldad Hagar, who made this tug-at-your-heart-strings video, the story doesn’t end there.

This wonderful animal rescue organization, Hope for Paws, has helped Woody return to good health and to learn to love people again.

He’s hardly recognizable because he’s had a complete makeover and is nothing like the little poodle that was hiding under the shed.
