A dog owner is celebrating after being reunited with seven puppies that were stolen from her home in a burglary.

Franchesca Knapton, of Cusworth feared she would never see the six week old Poodle and Bichon Frise cross breed puppies that were taken from her home on May 28 again.

She said: “I was giving up all hope, I couldn’t believe it when we got them back.”

A26-year-old man was arrested for robbery and 25-year-old woman from Arksey and a 29-year-old woman from South Elmsall, were also arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

Sergeant Stuart Rowse said: “The owner was gobsmacked and relieved when all the puppies were returned.”
